Rockwell International sells its Measurement and Flow Control Division to BTR, Inc. BTR forms Nordstrom Valves, Inc., headquarterd in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

Nordstrom awarded patent for the first dynamically balanced plug valve.
1976
Nordstrom undergoes second plant expansion to handle increasing volumes.
1975
Nordstrom awarded patent for the first polyethylene valve for gas distribution.
1973
North American Rockwell and Rockwell Manufactuing merge, forming Rockwell International.

Plant expands to manufacture globe and check valves transferred from East Chicago, IL

Rockwell Manufacturing Company breaks ground for new manufacturing facility in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
1932
The Pittsburgh Equitable Meter Company, later Rockwell Manufacturing Company, purchases Merco-Nordstrom Valves Company and concentrates on improving and increasing sales outlets.
1925
Merril and Nordstrom form the Merco-Nordstrom Valve Company. First plant is built in Oakland, California.
1920
Nordstrom installs the first valve in natural gas service.
1919
Nordstrom begins manufactuing valves in the United States and expands products to serve the chemical industry.
1918
Beginnings of an association with the Merril Engineering Company in San Francisco.
1914
Swedish born engineer, Sven Nordstrom, utilizing Pascal's Law invents lubricated plug valve at Reale del Monte Gold Mine in Mexico. Patent awarded in 1916 and the manufacturing begins in Mexico.

Double isolation plug valve (DIPV) introduced for demanding offshore service.

Hardfaced plug valves introduced for abrasive services in oil & gas industry.

Super H introduced as a successor to type H plug valve.

Acquired by BTR (some product lines moved to other companies within the newly formed valve group.)

RASA (Rockwell - Serck Audco joing marketing company in Geneva) was folded & SAVI (Serck Audco Valves International) was formed.

Manufacturing of butterfly valves begins.
